Jack Daniels Whiskey Barrels are made from American grown White Oak. The black striations in this wood ring are from charring on the inside of the barrel to impart the natural caramel color and unique flavors of the wood to the whiskey. The center stripe is hand-dyed blue Hickory wood. This ring is a popular wedding band (Something old, something blue...) and also makes a great gift for a police office, a bartender or whiskey aficionado. I enjoy making all of my rings, but especially this one as it makes my shop smell like whiskey :)
