Hello, I'm Tyler, the owner and sole craftsman of Grown Rings. That beam on my shoulder is 1920s Douglas Fir, and that crazed look in my eye is reclaimed-wood-fever. I rescued this 100 year old Douglas Fir beam from a historic 1920s Los Angeles hotel and gave it a new future. Douglas Fir, also known as Oregon, has an amazing history in the United States as an all around, can-do-anything wood.
